Hi y'all...

I'm at home with the infamous flu. I tried to make my bsubmit
from home this afternoon. Alas, the gods were not smiling on me.

First, I was a few minutes into my original bsubmit when my 3 year
old daughter picked up the telephone handset, and the modem line dropped
out. I then tried to re-do the bsubmit, but it told me I had to go the
-resub route. At that point things began to get a bit strange.
After a while it announced that no user interaction would be required
during the submit. However, shortly afterwards, it showed me this:

>> FATAL ERROR in /usr/sde/ode2.0/tools/alpha_ace/bin/ode/bsubmit:
>> Unable to rename /home/keane/sandboxes/goldbl8/tmp/_SMERGE_2 to /home/keane/c
Abort, ok, edit, merge, [r]co, [r]diff [edit]

I thought I managed to get past this by editing the file, confirming
it was what I wanted, and was free of any merge cruft, and I did an "ok".
However, later on it told me this:
.
.
.>> FATAL ERROR in /usr/sde/ode2.0/tools/alpha_ace/bin/ode/bsubmit:
>> open ./usr/ccs/lib/DECthreads/COMMON/cma_deb_core.c

After it worked (successfully) through the rest of the files, it did this:
[ ./usr/ccs/lib/DECthreads/alpha/cma_assem.s checked in onto branch 1.1.8 ]
[ ./usr/ccs/lib/DECthreads/alpha/cma_vp_hdwr.c checked in onto branch 1.1.6 ]
[ ./usr/shlib/DECthreads/Makefile checked in onto branch 1.1.15 ]

Please take appropriate steps and re-submit.

- Re-submit using -resub 17:13 [ -date 1/11/94 ]

I then noticed no cma_deb_core.c present. I grabed my backup copy of this
and did another -resub:
csh> bsubmit -resub 17:13
Enter the defect number this submission applies to: goldos-1013-keane

>> FATAL ERROR in /usr/sde/ode2.0/tools/alpha_ace/bin/ode/bsubmit:
>> Discrepancy between bcs tracking file and hold file.
>> A file listed in the bcs tracking file was not present in the hold file.
>> File: './usr/shlib/DECthreads/Makefile'

Please take appropriate steps and re-submit.

I'm stumped. Sorry to do this to you all on code freeze day. Any
help appreciated. I'll likely be in the office tomorrow to help straighten
this out. Your comments and brickbats are, if not quite welcome, expected!

Brian Keane
