David, the sandox's rc_files/shared file has a variable, sandbox_base,
which records where your sandbox lives.  If you want to use this as
both /home/eagle and /eagle, I suggest you just make a symlink on azurite
from /home/eagle to /eagle and it will work.

When I 'workon' it says it can't create /home/eagle.
Well, /home/eagle is my $HOME on wasted.  I have
/home/eagle@wasted mounted on /eagle@azurite.  I am
trying to 'workon' while on azurite.  I tried using
a patched .sandboxrc to say mksb -dir /eagle, but
it still tries to write something to /home/eagle
(which is unknown when you are on azurite).  I think
I am very close to being able to build completely
on azurite.  I would really like to get past these
last few (hopefully) problems.  I know things are
not working because I screwed them up, but could
you help me anyway?
