You shouldn't have a problem here, it's exported globally. I'd make sure that
there's and entry in your systems host file for lastin so that it can find it
in case you have a YP problem.
I might also suggest an alternate. I checked for mashie and found that it was
on lastin's subnet, but lastin is a heavily used Mips/Ultrix server. You might
try getting usr/sde from page, a ruby class OSF1 machine which is also on your
subnet. Again - make sure there's an entry in your hosts file.
