What directory did you start your build from? What did you use for
a build command? If you did not start your build from your
sandbox src/kernel directory & you have never done a kernel build
in this sandbox before, you might be running into a kernel dependency
problem? In general, you can not build individual
subdirectories of the kernel, see /usr/sde/osf1/doc/kernel-build-rules
for some help.

This is the result of my trying to do a build. I am trying to submitting
a patch to the v12supportos pool from my sterling system, but I can't even
build it.
HELP.
