Date Of Receipt: 22-NOV-1993 10:33:10.60 From: US2RMC::"[email protected]" "John Flanagan" To: "Rich Larsen (908) 577-6083 DTN 462-6083 [email protected]" <[email protected]> CC: [email protected], [email protected] Subj: Re: ACL access to pools ACL access to the pools is done through the project leaders of each poo. For ACL access to sterling: send mail to brett, kenny for ACL access to gold: send mail to cori, darrell They will, in turn, send us mail to add the ACL, or they will add it themselves. We [odehelp/reng] cannot approve someone being added to the ACL list for a release. What happens when the request gets sent to us, is that we then have to forward this request to the appropriate P.L. who then approves the ACL addition and tells us to add it. To save on mail, you should send ACL requests to the aforementioned P.L.s. You can cc reng if you'd like [odehelp goes to the Seattle folks as well, and I'm sure they are not interested in seeing ACL requests]. Date Of Receipt: 22-NOV-1993 10:33:11.60 From: ALPHA::"[email protected]" "Jim McGinness" To: [email protected], [email protected] CC: Subj: Re: ACL access to pools Not entirely. The submit.acl lists are changed by members of "reng" in response to requests from the project teams, each team controlling submit access to their own project's submit areas. The main.acl list, which is needed for bci, bco, blog, etc, is supposed to be altered by "reng" in response to requests from supervisors. The alias "odeadmin" resolves to "odehelp", which is a broader group than you need to communicate these ACL requests to. -- jmcg | |||||

Apparently I haven't been added to the access control list for the OSF pools. When I try to do a bco from a pool I get: % kinit Ann_Majeske MIT Project Athena (majsty.zk3.dec.com) Kerberos Initialization for "Ann_Majeske" Password: % bco login.c [ ./usr/bin/login/login.c ] co: access denied by ACL I need access to the OSF pools.
