Subj: looking for help in running a debugger in the ode environment
Hi-
We are trying to use the third party software, Insight, to debug
some memory problems. We are having trouble configuring the ode environment
to use insight instead of cc. What we have tried is creating a file called
custom in sandbox/rc_files and putting the following lines in it:
include ./local
replace setenv COMP_HOST_ROOT "${tools_base}/`your compiler'"
replace setenv COMP_TARGET_ROOT "${tools_base}/`your compiler'"
We tried both having a directory, /sandbox/tools/alpha_OSF1/alpha, and
putting the insight compiler in there, as well as just having the tools_base
equal to /usr/local/insight, which is the top of where the compiler lives.
Actually, insight is not a compiler but will call cc as it goes.
Any help you can give us will be appreciated.
