Hi John,

I believe what you want to attempt can be done but
there are a couple of problems that I can see with the scenerio:

-The OSF CMW project tree (bl4/src) you have appears to be a fully populated
source pool. Backing this tree upto agosmaint.bl6 will not be of any good.
Generally you want to have backingtrees multiply backed so that you build
functionality that is in one tree that isn't in the other. Anotherwords
a sparsely populated sandbox (in this case the bl4/src tree) is generally
backed to a fully populated backingtree (ie agosmaint.bl6). Is there
functionality in agosmaint.bl6 that you want to test against the CMW
tree? If it is easy, I would suggest you remove the directories and/or
files from bl4/src that you would like to have built from the agosmaint.bl6
backingtree.

-The OSF CMW project tree, I believe, has come from a different ODE pool
therefore the sources for that tree would not be available to you
on checkin and checkout. Your sandbox would always get the files
from the agosmaint.bl6 backingtree.

And some additional questions:

- Do you plan to have multiple people backing to bl4/src sandbox? Do you
want submits to occur in bl4/src? or do you want it strictly to be a
backingtree. If you are the only one using the bl4/src backingtree
I would suggest you set the bl4/src backingtree up as your private
sandbox??

If we can determine exactly what you want, the process for setting
up the right environment for you should be, in theory, fairly simple.

Do you want to discuss this more in person maybe that would help.
/Carolyn
