Subj: more on Henry_Pau submit, Re: Still hang there
Henry, I'm REALLY sorry -- I made a dumb typo, giving you the "check-out"
command instead of the "check-in" command.

Oddly, the 'bco' you did succeeded, which is should not have if the modes
of the file were as they should have been; normally when you check-out
a file it is read/write and when you check-in it becomes readonly. This
./usr/bin/Makefile in your sandbox, it seems, was read only, but had not
been checked-in. Did you use chmod on it or copy in a file from elsewhere
by any chance? This was why both bsubmit and bco didn't fail.
Since you did never check-in the usr/bin/Makefile, and you just did a
bco (check-out), you've erased your edits with an unedited version of
the file.
For simplicity, I've removed the /usr/bin/Makefile from the list of
files on hold. You should have no problem doing the resub AGAIN, but
this time it will do only the 3 asa files. Of course these files
won't get built until the usr/bin/Makefile gets submitted, since this
is a new subdirectory.
Independently of this (either before or after, your choice), make the
edits required to usr/bin/Makefile, check-in the file (with bci), and
do a new bsubmit (not a resub) of just this file.
I can plan to "meet you" on line in the 10-11 time frame today, in
case this doesn't work as advertized. OK?

Henry, your submit is really fairly far along, and backing it out would
be tricky (though could be done). Checking blog on each of your files:
(here's the hold list:)
: Henry_Pau; Date: 8/3/93; Time: 4:33
./usr/bin/Makefile
./usr/bin/asa/Makefile
./usr/bin/asa/asa.c
./usr/bin/asa/asa.msg
I found that you never checked in /usr/bin/Makefile; your initial version
is still locked and the only rev checked in along your branch:
% blog -rHenry_Pau_minor ./usr/bin/Makefile
Working file: ./usr/bin/Makefile
locks: strict
Henry_Pau: 4.3.25.1
access list:
symbolic names:
Henry_Pau_minor: 4.3.25
...
AGOSMINOR: 4.3.14

This is certainly a problem and may be the cause of why you're stuck
(though bsubmit should have caught this at the start).
Please do:
% bco /usr/bin/Makefile
and then retry the bsubmit -resub 4:33 -date 8/3/93.
If this fails, we'll back out your submit, or at least break it in two
pieces, removing the bin/Makefile as a separate submit.
Sorry for all the trouble. I will check over the weekend; also I
sometimes work late (like 12am-2am) which appears to be sync with your
timezone; we could make an "appointment" to work on the problem
together if necessary.

Please help. I tried again but it is still failing.
Is there a way to fail the current submit and start a new one?

==================
I found that the "Makefile" after bco already contains the change I
want to submit to the pool (See the grep statement above.)

Yes. 12-hours difference. But better before 12:30 because we have lunch
from 12:30.
