Dave,

Some additional info to add to Steve's comments.

The way odemount works is to attempt to mount all disks that
are referenced by the backingtree that you specified on the
command line. In your case, /share/lastout/build/agxmaint.dsk3,
contains agxmaint.bl6. The agxmaint.bl6 tree is used as a backingtree
for v13supportx (If you look in /usr/sde/osf1/build/v13supportx you will see
a link to agxmaint.bl6) . Therefore if you do an 'odemount v13supportx'
odemount will attempt to mount both the v13supportx tree and the agxmaint.bl6
tree. As Steve said, one of your login shells must either be cd'ed into
/usr/sde/osf1/build/agxmaint.bl6 or /share/lastout/build/agxmaint.dsk3.
In either case, the agxmaint.bl6 tree is not getting mounted! Possibly
a odemount bug? You might want to enter a bug report against it since
the error message can appear misleading in this case.

/Carolyn

that every time I do an odemount to get another backing tree on my system
I get an error:

# odemount v13supportx
lastout on /share/lastout/build/agxmaint.dsk3: Device busy

you may have logged in cd'ed into /usr/sde/osf/build/agxmaint.bl?,
then realized that is wasn't mounted. Then su'ed into root, and
	odemount ...

there's a hack laying around called "pads" which will tell you
which process id's have files open on what filesystems.
I don't have one for osf however. it's rather handy.
