203.0. "getting wrong version of file with bco" by SMURF::FILTER (Automatic Posting Software - mail to flume::puck) Tue Jul 13 1993 10:15

The file ./kernel/cdfs/cdfs_vnops.c had a showstopper bugfix applied for
maint bl5. I'm trying now to check it out in an agosminor.nightly
sandbox, but I keep getting the maint.bl4 version of the file.

If I create a new agosminor.nightly-backed sandbox, and check it out
there, I get the old version. If I create a new agosmaint.bl6-backed
sandbox and check it out, I get the new version.

The version in the agosminor.nightly backing tree
(/share/lastin/build/agosminor.dsk6/agosminor.nightly/src/kernel/cdfs/cdfs_vnops.c)
is the proper version from agosmaint.bl6.

Any idea what's going on here? Might it be that $NEW in this
newly-created sandbox is set thusly:

    NEW=AGOSMINOR;AGOSMAINT_BL4;alpha_bl012;<>

John,

You're right. Although it isn't because of $NEW [which is wrong also].
It looks like an error occurred during the update to nightly and we lost
a level of backing in the tree. We're looking at it now and will send mail
when it's fixed. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
