The attached problem is known in T1.3-5. It is fixed in SSB.
You can work around this problem by getting a new copy of the ln
command from the agosmaint.nightly tree.
Or preliminary SSB kits will be available latter today.
Jim.

Josh
A system I build on up in ZK3 (fiddlin) has recenly been upgraded to
BL5/Rev96 (I believe). Since then, the 'ln' step after linking a kernel
has been failing in the following fashion:
rm -f vmunix vmunix.sys
loading vmunix.sys
chmod 755 a.out
(null command)
mv a.out vmunix.sys
ln vmunix.sys vmunix; ln vmunix vmunix.GENERIC
vmunix.sys is a directory.
*** Exit 1
Stop.
*** Exit 1
Stop.
avalon.mlo.dec.com>
Now, I can 'cd' to the obj/alpha/kernel/.. directory and do the ln myself
without error and there is no 'ln' down in the /usr/sde/tools directory
so I really don't understand the problem. Any ideas?
tnx
Monty
