Subj: I'm not seeing a hang in make depend step building against ...
agosminor.nightly. I created a fresh sandbox backed by agosminor.nightly
and did a simple "build" in the kernel directory. I *did* get a failure
due to an NFS timeout, but it was after the depend step.
I mount these filesystems "soft". If you mount them "hard", then I
would guess a server failure would turn into a hang for the duration
of the server outage. Could this be what you are seeing?
Another thing to try, if you have the time and disk space, is a
mklinks -copy kernel
which will reduce the amount of NFS dependence.
