Please forward this mail to the rcs(1) maintainer: A while back OSF QAR 06389 was written for the "date -u" command because it caused RCS to break. The specific reason was because the Time Zone string returned by date(1) command was set to "CUT" and RCS wanted to see the string "GMT". I am not quite sure what impact this had on rcs(1) and the ODE II build environment. The sidecar project: ie I18N DEC OSF/1 V1.2, utilizes the I18N technologies based on the XPG4. This again caused the Time Zone string to change to "UTC". Will this once again cause rcs(1) to break? Sterling will include I18N/XPG4 DEC OSF/1 V1.2 commands. All commands used to build the system will be integrated by June 10. Again, I am not quite sure what impact this will have on rcs(1) and the ODE II build environment. It is very important that we get the build commands integrated successfully and that we are able to build using ODE II with the new V1.2 commands. Can the RCS maintainer reply to this mail and or phone me to discuss? Thanks John Derzinski Manalapan NJ DTN 462-6078
