Subj: Please help me -- (QAR 02406) INSTDIRS: Directories that don't get made
QAR 02406 was closed after (among other things) certain directoried were added
for System Accounting level-3 branding. Those directories are not created when
OSFACCTnnn is installed nor when ./usr/sbin/acct/ is built.
Someone determained that the variable (make macro) INSTDIRS in the
./usr/sbin/acct/Makefile isn't in any of the ./src/usr/lib/makefiles/ files. He
concluded that the variable isn't supported by ode anymore. I tried this on
every other variable in that makefile and INSTDIRS is the only one missing.
Is this conclusion correct; and, if so, what is the proper alternative to
INSTDIRS? As I am a novice with makefiles, a cookbook answer would be greatly
appreciated. Please call me if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Chuck Newman

ADDITIONAL BACKGROUND:
/usr/var/adm/ is the home directory of the adm account yet its owner and
group are root system before and after the OSFACCTnnn kit is installed.
The kit doesn't (errantly) make four directories at that point which
are:
./acct/
./acct/nite/
./acct/sum/
./acct/fiscal/
I have OSFACCT120 installed on an Alpha running 1.2 Rev10. I found
OSFACCT130 in the agosmaint backing tree. The ./usr/sbin/acct/Makefile
has references to the missing directories.
