Are you running yp? If so can you run:
vandyck@buffer [54] ypmatch fetch hosts
16.140.32.22 fetch.zk3.dec.com fetch
vandyck@buffer [55]
And do you get that back?
When I run it it looks like this:
root@polaris [1] odemount -v agoshw.bl1
agoshw.bl1: silver hardware BL1
mount fetch.zk3.dec.com:/usr/sde/disks/agoshw.dsk2 /usr/sde/disks/agoshw.dsk2
root@polaris [2]
Can you ping fetch? This sounds like a network problem, not an ode problem.

Hi,
odemount is failing. When I issue the following command I get a usage message.
root@troi> /usr/sde/tools/alpha_OSF1/bin/odemount goldos.nightly
usage:
mount [ -dfrwu ] [ -t nfs | ufs | cdfs | external_type ] [ -o
options ] special node
mount [ -adefrwu ] [ -t nfs | ufs | cdfs | external_type ]
mount [ -dfrwu ] special | node
What happened?

It's that damn pesky automount. You can't do both, either just use automount
which is what you have running, or don't pick up that map and then use
odemount.
