I have some drawings I will need to include into a DOCUMENT document for printing on an LN03. A year or so ago, we did an experiment where we had some drawings scanned and then made into SIXEL files which we included into our DOCUMENT file. Is this still the best way to include original artwork? I'm looking for some help, specifically some who will (out of the kindness of their heart, or perhaps for a DECdinner) be willing to scan about 20 pieces of artwork and send us the SIXEL files. Oh, you can pick up the dinner in Paris and I'll give you a free city tour, if you like (transportation not included). Can someone help? We would really appreciate it. From sunny Paris, Barclay

If you have a sixel terminal (VT240,241,330) and in need of a graphic -> sixel converter, one of the many flavours floating around can be copied from IJSAPL::DOC$LOCAL_TOOLS:MAKE_SIXEL.COM ,, MAKE_SIXEL.FOR This FORtran file must be compiled and the EXE put in DOC$LOCAL_TOOLS too. It just makes a screen dump into the sixel file. Sixelizing takes some time, so be patient. Theo P.S. I'm curious about GRED. I've seen it mentioned. What is it and where can I get any graphics tool useful for Document? (I'm not a DECwest documentalist - just a poor s/w specialist trying to please others...) | |||||
