812.0. "running titles in doctype SOFTWARE, bug?" by RTOADC::CAAHUBERT (Hubert Langensteiner, ADG Munich) Mon Aug 17 1987 07:50

I tried to use running titles in doctype SOFTWARE as described
in the FT manual but it does not work and I do not know why.

Does anybody knows what's wrong with the source file or DOCUMENT?
I have attached the source file to this note entry.

Thank you very much, looking forward,

    Hubert.

    Expected result:
         ----------------------------------------------------- - - -
! %running title, either from chapter or last head1 line
         ! %command
         !
         ! %command
         ! .
         ! . my command explanation
         ! .

     Source refusing desired output:
     ------------------------------------------------------------------

Output of running titles is DESIGN-specific. There is a bug in
SOFT.SPEC that running titles are not printed; this is reported
in 589. It will be fixed in the first point release.

For other designs, you need to use the DOUBLERUNNINGHEADS argument
    in <SET_TEMPLATE_COMMAND>:

      <SET_TEMPLATE_COMMAND>(Menu Options\DOUBLERUNNINGHEADS)
