801.0. "LN01 kit for V1.0 ?" by PRSIS4::BURESI (Marc, Paris, DTN 858-5395) Thu Aug 13 1987 08:04

    I installed DOCUMENT V1.0 on a new system. I have to produce an
    LN01 output.

    How may I order the kit ?

    Sorry if the answer is already in this notesfile, the response time
    is very slow from this side of the ocean !

    Regards,

    Marc.

    LN01 support is in the DEC internal kit:

    CLOSET::KITS_:[DOCUMENT.V10]DOCINT010.*

    The installation guide explains how to obtain the LN01 fonts.
801.2Some more questions about the LN01 fonts.PRSIS4::BURESIMarc, Paris, DTN 858-5395Fri Aug 14 1987 07:4895
    Well, I got the installation guide for the internal kit, and read
    it.

    Some things aren't yet clear for me.

    1 - The IG says: the LN01 fonts must be ordered separately but if you
    have them from a T1.0 system, you do not need to reinstall them.

    2 - On a T1.0 system, the directory DOC$LN01_FONTS is identical
    to the one on the V1.0 system I just generated from scratch (installed
    the DOC010, DOCLN03010, DOCINT010 kits, in this sequence, with no
    other version of DOCUMENT already on the system).

    3 - On this system however, the compilation of an LN01 book failed
    (see log below). It ran ok for the LN03 format.

    The questions are:

    1 - Did the book compilation really failed because the LN01 fonts were
    missing ?

    2 - If yes, is there a way to install them from my T1.0 system,
    or shall I still send a mail to CLOSET::LN01FONTS to get them ?

    Thanks a lot for helping, and sorry if my questions sound naives
    :-))

    Marc

    I'm not sure about the access violation, but you need to copy
    the font files (*.TLN) from the T1.0 DOC$LN01_FONTS directory to
    the V1.0 DOC$LN01_FONTS directory.

801.4perhaps your T1.0 system never had the LN01 fontsVAXUUM::KOHLBRENNERFri Aug 14 1987 11:163
    Marc, if your T1.0 directory and your V1.0 directory are identical
    for DOC$LN01_FONTS, then your T1.0 directory never had the fonts
    to begin with. So you will have to order them. bill
