768.0. "Send mail for posters and newsletter" by VAXUUM::FARR () Thu Aug 06 1987 11:30
VAX DOCUMENT posters are available. Each poster is like
a quick reference card - the command line, system flow,
filetypes, qualifiers, and doctypes are displayed in
primary colors. Send mail to VAXUUM::FARR to receive
copies. Include your mailing address and the number
of copies you want to receive. If possible, consolidate
orders with other people at your site so we can mail
several at once.
Also, the first issue of the ELECTRIC LIFE newsletter will
be available on Monday. The newsletter contains
articles of interest to writers, editors, and artists
in technical publications and will follow developments
of tools such as DOCUMENT, online documentation, GRED,
scanners, and so on. It's primarily a Corporate User
Publications newsletter but should be of interest
to many DOCUMENT users.
Send mail to be placed on the distribution list. Consider
submitting an article, too!

Answers to a couple questions that have been mailed to me:
- CUP cost centers will automatically receive the
newsletter, so mail needs to be sent only by interested
non-CUP parties.
- Anyone who wants a poster should send mail or pick some
up outside my office at ZK02/2-E33.
- Please send me your internal mailing address for both
items.
Thanks,
Julie

You may have better luck finding Julie's office in ZKO1. 2-E33

768.3 | More on the poster. | VAXUUM::CORMAN | | Mon Aug 10 1987 12:48 | 12 |
| Aside about the poster:
It truly is very handy as a quick-reference for the DOCUMENT command
line qualifiers and the file extensions VAX DOC creates. One note:
one command line qualifier is listed on the poster that is not
supported for Version 1.0. That's the /OUTPUT qualifier; I believe
that the decision to not support /OUTPUT was discussed in another
note. The decision was made *after* the poster went to production,
so don't get confused when you see that qualifier listed.
