The largest standard SOFTWARE doctypes have a page height of 11 inches, for the US paper. Are there also european doctypes for A4 paper? We have tried to use the /PAPER=A4 qualifier (undocumented in help, by the way) to the $ DOCUMENT command, which apparently worked with FT versions, but this didn't help. Michel.

740.1 | ISO paper size support is coming soon... | WRONGO::PARMENTER | Venusian or Venerean? | Mon Aug 03 1987 17:58 | 11 |
Comprehensive support for ISO paper-sizes is being specified as we speak. It is not currently supplied, but is a definate requirement for the next release of DOCUMENT. What you were observing with the /PAPER qualifier are provisional (deliberately undocumented) hooks left in place in anticipation of future development. The qualifier does not perform any useful action at the moment. David
740.2 | Limited support exists in V1.0 | CLOSET::ANKLAM | Mon Aug 10 1987 17:52 | 9
However, the V1.0 DEC internal kit implements, for initial debugging purposes /PAPER=A4 for some of the internal doctypes (LAYERED, HARDWARE, MEMO, LGUIDE, REPORT, OVERHEADS). \PAPER=A5 is also implemented for the HARDWARE doctype. See the V1.0 Notes for internal users. -pa |
