720.0. "LSE support gone" by MARTY::FRIEDMAN () Tue Jul 28 1987 11:06

    I seem to have lost SDML language support after installing V1 on
    my system (I did say YES when asked if I need this during
    installation). I have LSEDIT T2.0-21.

    I have tried using .GNC and .SDML files, to no avail. On another
    system where we still have BL7 and the same version of LSE, the
    language support works fine.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Marty

720.1Works for us on LSE V2.0IJSAPL::KLERKTheo de KlerkTue Jul 28 1987 12:425
  We installed it with no problem and full support. We have LSE V2.0.
  Did you try a part-install for the LSE to see if it did do the
  installation correctly?

    Yes, I redid a partial install. I am now trying it with 2.1 lse,
    and I'll redo the partial install.

720.3Some problem with T2.0SHEMP::HITTOut standing in a fieldWed Jul 29 1987 08:193
    I had the same problem with LSE T2.0. When I upgraded to V2.0,
    everything worked fine after another partial install.

720.4might be an early version of LSE T2.0CLOSET::KOHLBRENNERWed Jul 29 1987 11:367
    LSE had a field test update, I believe, and I think the earlier
    version of T2.0 had problems with installation of a new language.
    When I go into LSE and give it the command SHOW VERSION it tells
    me that we have T2.0-26 running here. I believe that the earlier
    edit number (something like T2.0-02) had the problem.

 Yes, ours announces itself as LSE V2.0-28, SCA V1.0-75

    I installed LSEDIT version T2.1-31 and redid the partial. Everything
    is fine now. I am a bit disappointed that it does not recognize
    .GNC (only .SDML), but I will get used to it. Thanks for the help.

    I think this was pointed out before, but you can do a

    	MODIFY LANGUAGE SDML/FILE_TYPES=(.GNC,.SDML)

    in your initialization file and you'll get LSEDIT to recognize your
    .GNC files as SDML files.
