    From time to time, users circulate LN03 fonts of their own making.
    That's very good, but I would like to warn you of a possible problem:
    
    	IF YOU CREATE A .NFT FILE BY COPYING A .NFT FROM THE FIELD 
    	TEST (BL07 OR BL08), YOUR FONT FILE MAY BE REJECTED BY THE 
    	DEVICE CONVERTER IN THE SDC VERSION (V1.0).

    This is due to some features that limit the use of "free" fonts 
    obtained from CUP Engineering as part of field test (since the 
    product release requires that you pay royalties).
    
    At the time we first make available the SDC version as an online
    kit, we will provide in the internal kit the necessary stuff to
    let you keep on using your field-test fonts until the end of the
    year.  That will give you 4 months to take delivery of the LN03
    font kit from SDC.
    
    This limitation does NOT apply to any fonts you have acquired from
    any source besides CUP Engineering -- unless (possibly) those fonts 
    were created by alterating the field-test fonts.
    
    If you have created .NFT files by altering such files in the BL07
    or BL08 VAX DOCUMENT kits, please send me mail and I'll check your
    files.  (Hopefully, no one will have to take advantage of this offer.)

    	I'm happy to pay for the fonts.  The kit has been on order for
    over a month now, and not a word from the SDC...
    

    I think mid-september is the ship date from the SDC.
