I just happened to spellout a document type in full from the "VAX DOCUMENT Doctypes" table in the field test User Manual, Volume 1. I discovered that the documented "REPORT.TWOCOLS" should actually be spelled "REPORT.TWOCOL". I started to include the table number, but then noticed that the manual includes two tables numbered "1-2" and no table numbered "1-1". -- Ward

Spelling out doctyes in full, eh--sounds like you were bug-hunting Ward. Both are errors in the documentation and will be fixed in the v1.0 book---thanks for the report. -randy | |||||

RE: bug-hunting When all my midnight projects are completed, I'll shift into bug-hunting mode. That should be sometime in the next century. This bug was found when I setup a doctype default for my newly-created XDOCUMENT tool. Rather than typing file-specs and abbreviations for doctype and destination, XDOCUMENT defaults all three to "reasonable" (subjective) defaults. -- Ward |
