Until I read the following note, I was planning to order the LN01 font kit so that we could use our LN01 to backup our LN03+. The lack of multi-national characters looks like a problem (especially here in France). Are we in for any other surprises attempting to use our LN01 with DOCUMENT? -- Ward ================================================================================ Note 621.1 COMPOSE CHARACTERS PROBLEM 1 of 1 CLOSET::ANKLAM 6 lines 9-JUL-1987 11:47 -< LN01 is the problem >- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The problem is the LN01. The multinational characters are not supported in all the fonts and sizes. This is a permanent restriction, as there are no plans to provide full LN01 support.

LN01 restrictions/problems: 1. No revision bar support 2. No inclusion of graphics files 3. Multinational character set only in 2 fonts 4. The European LN01s are different from the U.S. LN01s, the LN01SET.COM in DOC$LOCAL_TOOLS in the Internal kit should be used to process DVI files, using the /S qualifier 5. No inclusion of tables of contents or indexing I think there's probably more, but you get the idea. |
