If I use the <REVISION> tag with the <MARK> and <ENDMARK> tags I get change bars
to appear on my postscript output.  But I do not get them on my mail output.
Why is this?

    I think if you check the release notes, you'll find that its documented
    that change bars aren't supported by the DVI2LPR (or whatever its
    called now) device converter.  Can someone say whether this will
    be supported for V1.0?

    Is it intended that the monospaced output driver takes vertical rules
    and generates a bunch of ||||||||||| at the bottom of the page?  I have
    a local doctype that uses vertical rules on every page and the bottom
    of every page has some large number of |'s.  Is this related to the
    lack of change bar support?

It's related in that the same deficiency in the line printer driver which
caused us to decommit revision bar support in V1.0 is most likely what's
causing your problem.
