We are trying to use AUTODEST and are having problems. Specifically, trying to process a file now results in the error: %DOC-F-OPEN_DEST, Error opening DOC$DESTINATIONS data file. -RMS-E-PRV, insufficient privilege or file protection violation. Files processed fine before we tried to use AUTODEST. Any ideas? Thanx Rose

DOC$DESTINATIONS.DAT must have W:RE protection for you to
access it from various accounts. YOu may have had your default
protection set to supply no world access. So AUTODEST wrote
out a new file, but left it protected against the world.
Just do SET PROT=W:RE DOC$ROOT:[TEX.FORMATS]DOC$DESTINATIONS.DAT
You may have to set some kind of privilege in order to be able
to execute that command...

| 507.2 | fixed (maybe) | VAXUUM::KOHLBRENNER | Sat Jun 13 1987 13:00 | 2 | |
I think we can fix this for v1.0, so that you will not
have to do the SET PROT command.
