506.0. "DOCUMENT looks for the wrong file" by COOKIE::JOHNSTON () Fri Jun 12 1987 17:38
I just encountered a rather odd error under BL8 using soft.spec.
This is the command I used and the error received, where the file is FRONT.SDML:
$ doc front s.s term
%DOC-I-IDENT, VAX DOCUMENT T1.0-008
%DOC-W-ACTION_EXCL, '/PRINT' is not available for the chosen destination
%DOC-F-INVALID_INPUT, can't use DISK$FIG_4:[JOHNSTON.FORMATS]FRONTMTTR.SDML; as
an iput file.
-RMS-E-FNF, file not found
Notice that DOCUMENT was looking for a file called FRONTMTTR and not
FRONT, as specified.
Specifying the full file name, FRONT.SDML, allowed the file to process ok.

506.1 | FRONT is a logical? | VAXUUM::KOHLBRENNER | | Sat Jun 13 1987 09:31 | 2 |
| I think you must have had a logical called FRONT defined,
which pointed at FRONTMTTR.SDML.
