We need to change the 'Printed in U.S.A.' line of the copyright page as well as the bottom line of the title page ('dig equ corp mayn, mass') to show up the appropriate local text. We already did changes in the following files: DOC$LOCAL_FORMATS:CUP$HARDWARE.DESIGN CUP$H_GUIDE.DESIGN CUP$LAYERED.DESIGN CUP$LOCAL_ELEMENTS.TEX but - surprise, surprise - at least with doctype GENERAL (we haven't yet tried others) it still prints Printed in U.S.A. We couldn't locate the text 'U.S.A.' anywhere else in the DOC$ROOT directory tree. BTW, we run the Field Test Update version. Any help appreciated ! Thanks a lot in advance, Hans.

Create the file, in DOC$LOCAL_FORMATS, called DOC$LOCAL_ELEMENTS.TEX and point the logical name DOC$LOCAL_ELEMENTS to that file. Locally we changed "Printed in the U.S.A." to "Printed in Switzerland" and "digital equipment corporation maynard mass..." to "... Geneva Switzerland" Peter

The text in the standard DESIGNS is variable-ized, whereas the text in the Digital doctypes is more specific. You can replace the English text in the following definitions and place these definitions in your DOC$LOCAL_ELEMENTS file. Then, you should get the correct text in all the doctypes that don't English explicity: \gdef\Ordernumbername{Order Number} \gdef\Contentsname{Contents} \gdef\Copyrightword{Copyright \copyright} \gdef\Copyrightreserved{All Rights Reserved.} \gdef\Copyrightprintlocation{Printed in U.S.A.} % %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% % \DOCUMENTacknowledgement % \gdef\DOCUMENTacknowledgement{% \block{1}This document was prepared using VAX DOCUMENT, Version 1.0 \par} Please let me know if you have any problems with this; I haven't had time to pull together all the documentation for language substitution strings; I hope to do this soon. patti anklam
