423.0. "<CONDITION> tag doesn't work" by CLOSUS::AMEND () Wed May 27 1987 11:26

    
    Using Baselevel 8
    
    The condition tag doesn't appear to work correctly.  If I only
have one condition (example <condition>(field_service) then
condition works.  If I have two conditions
(example <condtion>(field_service\customer) and I select
/condition=release_notes in my document command, I get
Argument 1 to tag <CONDITION> is not a valid name.

    I can see that you show the sample <condtion> tag as
    
             <condition>(foo\bar)
    
    but I am wondering if you have not actually written it as
    
             <condition>(foo/bar)           
    
    That would cause the error that you reported, since the first
    argument, "foo/bar" has a character that is not legal in a name.
    
    I don't think it is connected with what you specify on the command
    line with the /CONDITION qualifier.

    
    There is a bug in BL8 in the setting of two conditions. I just found
    it last week, and it is fixed for T1.0. 

Is there an easy fix to it that we can make locally?

    Is there a fix I can put in.  I have 3 book ready to go to production

    On the subject of the <CONDITION> tag, I'd like to make a request
    (again) for better conditional support, similar to that supported
    by DSRPLUS (IF/IFNOT/ELSE).
