393.0. "Word overflows (BL07)" by COOKIE::JOHNSTON () Tue May 19 1987 14:46
The word "Furthermore" overflowed in hardcopy final output and placed
the ending "e" on a new line, as shown in the example below. The
document was first processed for soft.spec and terminal ouput.
I'm assuming the behavior is related to the fact that the document was
processed for terminal and there's something weird about getting good
hardcopy from a .TT file. Any enlightenment? Should users be
discouraged from doing this kind of thing?
Thanx
Rose

<head1>(Other Assumptions)

<emphasis>(Point failure.)
<p>
Point failure says that every fault has a single cause. Furthermore
it is often assumed that faults occur sufficiently infrequently that one
fault will be recovered from before the next fault occurs. Point
failure is a simplifying assumption to help the design and analysis of
fault tolerent systems. Extremely reliable systems such as fly-by-wire
aircraft control may not assume point failure, but use more
sophisticated analysis.
