293.1 | not yet, but high on the schedule | VAXUUM::DEVRIES | Those are features, not bugs | Mon Apr 27 1987 14:23 | 10 |
| This is high on our list of work items after the V1.0 release,
since it is required for support of our European users (A4 paper).
We have done some but not all of the work thus far. There are still
some open questions about how flexible we need to be, and in what
way.
So this *will* be done, and quite soon. Sorry that it's not there
for you right now.

293.2 | A4 is not "legal size" | CLOSET::KAIKOW | | Tue Apr 28 1987 16:04 | 4 |
| A4 is not "legal size".
A4 is an international standard size paper, used just about everywhere except
the USA.

293.3 | A4 never was "legal size" | VAXUUM::DEVRIES | Those are features, not bugs | Thu Apr 30 1987 14:20 | 18 |

...and there was no contention that A4 IS "legal size". Sorry if
my reply was too concise.
The point is that we will have to support several sizes, including
(but not necessarily limited to) letter, legal and A4.
Since I mentioned the European requirement in the first reply, I
figured that if I didn't say "A4", somebody would point out that
the primary European requirement was NOT "legal", which was
mentioned in the base note. I never expected the obverse association.
