277.0. "Square bullets for checklists" by PDVAX::P_DAVIS (aka SARAH::P_DAVIS) Tue Apr 21 1987 11:33
Is there any way to generate lists using a small unfilled square
as a bullet? I'd like to produce checklists, with a box which can
be checked for each list entry.
Ideally, I'd like to see DOCUMENT provide some choices for unnumbered
lists, other than the default bullet or a user-specified ASCII
character.
I'd settle for being able to user "[]" as the bullet, although it
would not look as good as an actual square character. The
documentation says I only get a single character for user-specified
bullet.

The following will work. Using the # character will ensure an integer
width box.
<align_char>(#)
<list>(unnumbered\<box>(#))
<le>fee
<le>fie
<le>fo
<le>fum
<endlist>
<endalign_char>
