191.1 | it's just an ASCII file | CLOSET::ANKLAM | | Thu Apr 02 1987 17:14 | 10 |

no, it's not. we advised against it when we developed the scheme
for modifying/updating it based on absolute line numbers. but it
looks as though we're going to provide a tool for updating it.
so if you need to go change a queue name, go ahead. Do be careful
of line ends, comments and continuation characters though. It's
a little sensitive.

191.5 | Log name (?), Videotex, and SUMSLP | CASPRO::JDEADERICK | Joan E. Deaderick | Thu Apr 23 1987 12:22 | 16 |
| Three things about DOC$DESTINATIONS.DAT:
1) Is there a logical name for this file (that could be redirected
to a local copy--I still have not been able to direct LN03
output to the printer nearest me)?
2) I noticed that "lines 101 - 109 are for VIDEOTEX support". Does
that mean that Videotex is going to be a destination? If so, when?
3) Is the SUMSLP editor a batch editor (related to the old SLIPER editor)?
Where can it be obtained?
Always curious,
Joan Deaderick

191.6 | /PRINT, prototype, obsolete | CLOSET::ANKLAM | | Thu Apr 23 1987 17:17 | 12 |
|
1. Did you try /print=(queue:local-queue-name) to get files to
print near you?
2. The VIDEOTEX destination is something we are working on a prototype
of, but it is on a back burner (workstations have a higher priority
character cell terminals these days)
3. The FT update will provide a program that lets you update
