I would like to have an explicit "Continued on next page" for every
table going onto another page rather than just the blank space that
there is currently. What is the way to do this? (I tried finding
an example in the various DTPs but failed!)

I find that rather surprising since under BL6 I seem to recall
that the <next_page> tag did almost what I want! I assume that is
because it was a call that merely ejected the page and printed a
piece of text?
I'll wait with baited breath for the next release :-)

I am surprised that <next_page> did anything reasonable in the context
of a table...
