I suggest using this topic to list the whereabouts of the latest and greatest versions of the documentation for DOCUMENT. As I recall, this information is not otherwise in one place in this conference. It sure would make life easier if this were done. I suggest that the ONLY relies to this topic be those of the documentation people identifying the location of the documents. Any other replies should be deleted by the moderator.

The information about the documentation is in Note 1.1, along with pointers to the installation kits.
173.2 | 1.1 should point here | CLOSET::KAIKOW | Tue Mar 31 1987 13:38 | 10
1.1 is not adequate because: 1. It buries the information at its very end. 2. As it documents installation procedures, not all users may be willing to dig thru (or even lokk at) it for the documentation information. A separate topic is much easier to use, especially for those not interested in installation procedures. In fact, 1.1 should point to this topic so that the info is in ONLY one place.

what happened to keywords and meaningful note titles (e.g., DOCUMENT documentation)?
173.4 | Why make it harder than necessary for the user? | CLOSET::KAIKOW | Wed Apr 01 1987 11:01 | 5
re: 173.3 That would help, however, why make a user search thru an entire note on installation procedures, if all s/he wants is to get at the documentation? |
