QUESTION ??
1. What happen to the source files in the DOC$SAMPLE book ?
The outputs are there but only some of the source files
appear.
2. Is there anything special that has to be done or added to
file to do GENERAL.TWOCOLS ? I tried it and the table did
not come out like the ALASKA example in the DOC$SAMPLE book.

Most of the files were generated from essentially the same source,
with changes to illustrate doctype-specific tags.
Differences between the book's output and your output is no doubt
due to design tweaks or bug fixes that occurred between the time
the files were processed to put the books together and the time
the system was put together.
