There was another NOTE on this problem (I forget which, but in that
NOTE it seemed to be related to LINE_PRINTER output). I am looking
at this; the loop seems to occur if the code example has KEEP but
won't fit on the page.

| I found that if you put a footnote in the wrong place in a table,
that TEX loops until I stop it.

We are working on the loop problem with monospaced examples in figures
(I believe it occurs *only* if the example is coded with KEEP and
is too big for the page. Please let me know if this is not the case.)
#2 with a loop in a table with a footnote is one I don't know about.
Jim, can I have an example please?

| Sorry Patti I tried to recreate it. We had just translated a chapter
from .rno to .gnc. We batched it up and it was still running in
the morning. I found one of the problems was the footnote above
the <table_setup>. I fixed that and I probably fixed something
with the code_example also. I have some code_examples in the chapter
also.
