56.0. "LN03 DESIGN printout problem" by LSEE2::STALZER () Wed Mar 04 1987 13:24

I just installed DOCUMENT for the first time and copied the Step_by
_step _design.ln3 file from closet::. I don't have an LN03 on this
system so I copied it to another system and as it printed the error
codes 2 and 4 flashed. Also the printout was somewhat garbled
(However only after the fifth page). Also the table of contents printed
    out OK.

Other files print out normally. There are two RAM cartrides and
the self test passes and I "believe" the system manager of that
system when he says there is no setup problem.

    He blames the file.

    HELP!! -Rudy.

By the way, I did use /nofeed/passall on the print command.
I also found that the revision level on the self test page is DEC004.0

The LN03 is out of rev. The firmware rev level should be 4.4. I
think there have been four updates to the microcode since 4.0.

If it's on contract the system manager can have it upgraded at no
charge by FS. If it isn't there will be an upgrade charge.

Thanks. I'll make sure he gets the message.

To others who encounter the same symptoms: make sure that both those
cartridges stuck in the front are RAM cartridges, not font ROMs.

The LN03 will tell you on its test page what it thinks they are.
