27.0. "LN01 problem/LN03 question" by CASPRO::CONEILL () Wed Feb 25 1987 15:30

    (1.)

    Installed DOCUMENT T1.0.

    When invoking following command:

    $ DOCUMENT TESTMEMO MEMO LN01 (device defined during installation
                                   to point to valid print queue LASER$PRINT)

    get following error message prior to message stating job printing.

    Topp 1.90
    No such file: jinete
    Unable to read font file jinete

    Physical output received is flag page and then 1 blank page but not my memo.

    What am I missing/doing incorrectly/etc?  I have checked qualifiers
    on the queue and all match with what is shown in back of installation
    guide.

    (2.)

    Device LN03 and LINE work fine the way presently set up.

    LN03 points to a print queue named FROST$PRINT.  I have 5 LN03s
    with 5 different print queues associated with them that I would
    like to use for DOCUMENT output. How do I set this
    up (if possible)? Eg. LN031 points to queue EMERSON$PRINT which
    is a queue associated with an LN03.

    Thanks.

    Cheryle

27.1No LN01 fonts shipped in net kitATLAST::BOUKNIGHTEverything has an outlineWed Feb 25 1987 21:085
    Sounds like you missed the statement that the LN01 fonts are NOT
    shipped with the field test kit. You are going to have to get them
    from the SDC. The installation notes describe the process.

To use different print queues, specify

$ DOCUMENT filename doctype LN03 /PRINT=(QUEUE:queue-name)

27.3LN01 still not workingCASPRO::CONEILLThu Feb 26 1987 16:5216
    re. .1

    Installed LN01 V1.0 Font Kit and defined logical LNO1$ROOT which
    translates to SYS$SYSDEVICE:[LNO1.] where it was installed.

    LNO1 device still not working. Still getting error message:

    TOPP 1.90
    No such file: jinete
    Unable to read font file jinete

    JINETE.TFM exists in DOC$LNO1_FONTS.  What am I not doing/missing/etc.
    please?

It sounds like what you've installed is an LN01 font kit for DECpage fonts.
To get the DOCUMENT LN01 fonts (which are different), send mail to
VAXUUM::LN01FONTS. There will be an $855 charge for the DOCUMENT LN01 fonts.
See the "VAX DOCUMENT Installation Guide for Internal Users" for more
details.
