14.1 | You should get nearly everthing... | VAXUUM::OTTE | | Mon Feb 23 1987 15:00 | 5 |
| I think the only info you might miss is the sixel stuff brought
into the Users Guide part 1 to illustrate the <icon> tag.
Everything else should be there.

14.2 | Maybe its time to retire the LN01 | ATLAST::BOUKNIGHT | Everything has an outline | Mon Feb 23 1987 18:45 | 8 |
| You will pay an additional $800+ dollars for the privilege of using
the Compugraphic LN01 font set.
I am not sure why you think the LN03 can't handle the big jobs.
It's the same speed as the LN01, and ours print LARGE documents
quite often (DOCUMENT's user guide is a good example).

| The paper input tray on an LN03 is inadequate for large jobs.
We used an LPS40 to run off the .LN3 files. With a 5-ream input tray
capacity, 40 pages per minute, and complete LN03 compatibility, it
makes an ideal printer for large jobs.

14.4 | LPS40 performance under realistic conditions | TLE::SAVAGE | Neil, @Spit Brook | Tue Feb 24 1987 10:19 | 9 |
| Re: .3:
For the record, I tested the speed of the LPS40 on a 590-page LN3
document. According to printer's own time stamp, the job took 33
minutes. That comes out to be slightly under 18 pages a minute.
With PostScript files the LPS40 is faster. A recent test printed
a 362 page .PS document in 13 minutes, slightly less than 28 pages
per minute.

Is the $855 for the LN01 fonts a one-time charge, or will we
have to 'buy' the fonts again when document becomes available from
SDC?

| The $855 charge for the LN01 fonts is a one-time charge. We will not be
updating those fonts when DOCUMENT becomes available from the SDC.
