INGRES ANNOUNCES NEW DIGITAL ALPHA AXP DATES
****************************************************************************
Ingres has already announced its firm commitment to Digital's Alpha AXP
architecture as well as schedules for INGRES 6.4+1 on the Alpha DEC OSF/1
and Open VMS platforms. To better enable you to migrate your Ingres
applications to Alpha AXP, INGRES is announcing today a schedule for
INGRES 6.4 on DEC OSF/1 on the Alpha AXP architecture.
The dates for INGRES 6.4 on Alpha AXP OSF/1:
BETA Q1 1993
FCS Q2 1993
This release will include the INGRES Intelligent Database, INGRES/Net,
INGRES/Star and INGRES character based tools and will be fully supported.
This new announcement does not affect the previously announced dates for
INGRES 6.4+1. The availability for INGRES 6.4+1 on Alpha Open VMS,
DEC OSF/1 and NT remain at Q1 1994. INGRES 6.4 Tools for Open VMS will
be available Q3 1993.
