Can you summarize FIPS 127? Is it based on some ISO or ANSI standard?

FIPS 127-1 is a Federal Information Processing Standard which addresses
Database Language SQL. From the Validated Products List 1992 No.2
Catalogue, the only product which was tested on MS-DOS 3.30 was
INFORMIX-SQL. ORACLE was tested with VMS and UNIX.

To order a copy of the catalogue, you can write
    U.S. Department of COmmerce
    NIST
    Bldg 225 Room A/266
    Gaithersburg, MD 20899

You may also want to send mail to Jim COOKIE::MELLON. He gave me a
number to call for the catalogue. There was no charge.
