couldn't find agood place for this, but ORACLE only allows 1 column in table to be VARCHAR! I just spoke to a customer who performed some magic to concatenate evyerthing into this one variable length string, using NULLs to seperate data. Simon

What version of Oracle are you talking about? My ORACLE v6.0 manual specifically indicates that CHAR and VARCHAR are equivalent, and any number may be specified per table (it also mentions that this MAY NOT be true in future releases). Rick | |||||
