1188.0. "Rdb/DB2 Reprise" by PTOVAX::SMITH () Thu Sep 17 1992 21:00

    Hi,

    We are competing with DB2 for a large opportunity that involves a large
    database.

    I have found some DB2 information, but I am afraid it appears out of
    date (circa 1990). Does anyone have updated information/knockoffs
    concerning Rdb and DB2? (I am getting the Butler and Bloor report).

    Thanks,

    Jim Smith

    somebody faxed me a copy of "Corporate Computing" which very favourably
    compares Rdb/VMS V4.1 vs Rdb/VMS V4.0. It then has a comparison of DB2
    on the mainframe, Rdb/VMS on the mini and Foxbase on the PC server.

    unfortunately I wasn't given the front cover or anything.
    I'd try your local library. This may be a US only publication,
