       Hello Oracle, Ingres & ULTRIX specialists -

       does anybody out there have experience with BOTH databases
       running on ONE single ULTRIX system???

       If so:	- what problems did you encounter?
		- is this a workable combination?
		- how was your system configured?
		- anything else you would like to comment on this


       To all of you not having these experince, but konwing both
       products: 	

       - Do you think this could be done in a production
         environment?
       - What problems do you expect?
       - Any reason why this is NOT practicable?


       This may be a strange question, but we are faced with a
       customer situation where this combination might occure.

       I don't feel very confident about this. Even when ditributing
       both databases physicaly on different drives, still the both
       engines will be running on on cpu.
       Thinking about oracles way of memory management and both
       products heavy demand of cpu, memeory and I/O, I'm not
       sure this will work satisfactionally.
       Anohter pointof concern is the systems tunig: we would not be able to
       optimize the system because of (surely) different needs from
       both DB-engines.

       Well - any ideas, hint or references would be appriciated!
