1078.0. "SPSS?" by ALOSWS::MULLER (Fred Muller) Sat Feb 01 1992 18:24

    Cannot find any info on SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social
    Sciences) in searching many conferences.

    Can anyone help? Does it run on VAXex?

Yes it does. I'v seen a very nice demo on VAX two years ago.

The functionality is quite similar to SAS.

    As I recall, SPSS was originally written on DEC machines (TOPS-10?). I
    guess that the reson why you can't find reference to it is because
    everyone seems to use SAS.

    Did you try the VAX/VMS Software Source Book? There use to be a
    notes file called STATPACK but it is long gone now. Digital has a
    licenses for SPSS but I can not find the contact person. You might
    try the RUSURE::MATH notes conference.
