Welcome to the TPTOOLS conference! This conference is centered around
the DECtp Implementation Toolkit from SWS/E ACES.
DECtp Implementation Toolkit, Version 1.0 provides a set of tools and a
recommended methodology for using the VAX Software Engineering Tools (VAXset) to
create an effective environment for development of DECtp applications. The
toolkit is intended for use by software specialists delivering consulting to
DECtp customers during the design and implementation phases of a TP development
project, and is planned to be available through the ASSETS Library.
The toolkit includes the following training materials and tools:
o Training materials that describe a methodology for using VAXset in a DECtp
environment:
- Defining Project Standards
- Setting Up the Development Environment
- Streamlining Code Development
- Building Applications
- Testing Applications
- Managing Code Release
o Tools to help create an effective environment for developing DECtp
applications:
- Procedure to create VMS project directories, CDD project
directories and project libraries (CMS, SCA, DTM).
- A customized LSE-based workbench that streamlines the
coding environment.
- Build procedure.
- Utility to generate MMS description files.
Version 1.0 of the toolkit targets projects developing applications using the
following DECtp products:

VAX Rdb/VMS
VAX SQL
