Does anyone have TPS data on Oracle software running on a VAX 4000 Model 300? I am providing sales support for a customer that has narrowed the database of choice between Oracle and Rdb. Any leads would be much appreciated. Thanks, Ed Chan DTN521-4294, (408)748-4294

Ed, I do not have the data that you request. Be careful, Oracles benchmarks are usually not the same benchmarks that we run. Thus they can not be compared. Why not phone Oracle and ask them for a full disclosure report also. Ken M | |||||

As .1 pointed out, Oracle does not do certified TPC benchmarks. I still think Oracle's purchase contract does NOT allow customers to publish performance numbers. We stand behind ours... Ask them to produce their AUDITED & CERTIFIED TPC benchmark numbers for the platform to be chosen. |
