I'm presently responding to an RFI where the customer has asked for
24x7 information. Basically, they say they have a one-hour window at
2:00 AM on Sundays and can we do the following:
o Install new release of operating system
o Install new release of Rdb
o Install new release of application software
o Online backup of the database and/or system disks
o Online restoration of database and/or system disks
o Database maintenance operations which block user access to the
database.
These questions aren't hard to answer, but it does seem to me that we
should have some boilerplate for this.
