Hello. I'm not aware of an Ultrix/sql_competition notes file so I hope no-one objects too much if I post this here... I've been asked to investigate a rumour that the latest version of Ingres is not/will not be supported on Ultrix V4.1. Can anyone throw some light on this? Just to make it absolutely clear, I do mean Ingres, not Ultrix/sql. Any help appreciated. Phil.

Hi,
I think I also need this info urgently. Currently we have an
opportunity to provide to a solution to a potential in which we
intend to propose Ultrix V4.1 and an Accounting package that runs on
Ingres. I would appreciate any info regarding this issue.

ULTRIX/SQL v2.0 is the literal equivalent (only the documentation
changes) of Ingres v6.3 plus the Ingres net product. These will
ship with ULTRIX 4.2. We have here now Ingres v6.3, received from
Ingres, running on ULTRIX 4.1. No problems so far.
